What is the Dog's Butt Brewery?

The Dog's Butt Brewery is the name of my home brewery. It's not famous for much, but I make some drinkable beers that are consumed with little or no complaint, even if not sought after. One of the specials of the brewery is my annual meade. Other popular brews include the wheat, raspberry pale ale, and root beer.

The Dog's Butt Brewery has been churning out homebrewed beverages since 2000.

What is Meade?

Meade is commonly thought of as the eariest form of alcohol. It was a popular beverage in medieval times but lost a lot of ground with the onset of mass produced wine and beer. Meade is perhaps one of the easier alcoholic beverages to make, but most difficult to master. It is made solely of honey, water, and yeast. In fact, early forms of the beverages were said to have happened by accident when wild yeast mixed with honey that was just sitting around.

What is Cornhole?

Cornhole is a game involving two angled platforms, two to four players, and eight fabric bags filled with corn. The object of the game is to get the bags on the platforms or in a hole that is in the platform to score points. Scoring is similar to that of horseshoes.

What should I bring?

Whatever you want. There will be plenty to drink and some meat for eating (turkey legs, brats, burgers, etc.). You can bring a dish to pass if you like. If you have lawn chairs, you can bring those as well. And, if you don't like homebrewed beverages, bring some of your own commercially brewed swill as none will be provided by the host.

Can I bring my kids?

Yes.
