It's been kind of a tough week for Ethan, again. Since bringing home some sort of sickness from his first week of daycare, Ethan has continued to cough through the night and have a majorly stuffy nose. His spirits are not dampened, however. He still continues to smile and laugh frequently and even is beginning to play on his own a bit.
Last weekend, Aimee, Jenny's sister, got married, so Ethan got to spend the day on Saturday with Grandma, Grandpa, and Uncle Blaine. He didn't seem to enjoy the wedding altogether too much, but he seemed to like his time spent with his relatives in the comfort of their home. Ethan is not too keen on crowds!!! At one point in the day, Ethan decided to projectile vomit on Uncle Blaine. Welcome to parenthood, Blaine!!! Seriously, Uncle Blaine was a savior since he got up all night with Ethan while mom and dad got seriously lambasted for the first time together in over a year!!! Thanks Blaine!!!
Beyond
sickness, Ethan has taken a real liking to Elmo, a hand-me-down doll from
Jenny's family. He also really enjoys playing peek-a-boo and will laugh
out loud when daddy surprises him by moving in really close while Ethan's eyes
are covered.
Well, enough excitement for the time being. For the immediate future, we plan on staying home with Ethan and allowing him to get better, and to enjoy his house for his last remaining weeks of immobility. He's lifting his head a lot and even manages to get up on his arms when placed on his stomach. It is only a matter of time before he is rolling over, and then crawling will begin.
