Ethan
is really turning into quite the little man. I don't know how much he
weighs, but he turned 8 weeks old this week and he's on the cusp of growing out
of all of his 0/3 month clothes, much to his mom's dismay. She was hoping
that Ethan would be able to wear those clothes for our family vacation up north
later this month. Oh well, I guess 3/6 month clothes will have to
do. He is eating around 5 ounces of formula at EVERY feeding, and as you
can see, he gets just about all of those 5 ounces each time he eats. He
also has started sleeping up to 5 hours at night, which is a blessing for mom
and dad!!!
Ethan has been cooing and talking to us for a couple of weeks now, but his smiles are getting quite a bit more frequent. Almost any time you put him on his changing table you are bound to get a big grin and a giggle. Apparently he thinks it is funny to have somebody changing his pants. Actually, I think it would be pretty funny myself. He has also been exploring using his arms and hands more often. The other day he was activating the noise maker on his kick-n-play barn, I like to think on purpose. He was also "giving me 5" on his changing table, but that could have just been random. Of course to me, the parent, I like to believe that he is progressing quickly!!!
The picture above is of Ethan swimming for the first time. He loves the water, whether it is his bath or the pool. Aunt Aimee bought this pool for him, but at this rate, he may grow right out of it by next month!!!
That's it for this week. Be sure to check back next week for new pictures and commentary on our favorite little boy.
